Job Description
About Vitrue
Vitrue is an early stage, well funded and high growth technology business disrupting the way we assess and treat musculoskeletal issues from the workplace to the clinic (we’re also alumni of the world's leading startup accelerator - Techstars!).
A musculoskeletal issue is anything that affects the way you move. From a desk worker with back pain to a hip replacement patient to a professional athlete with an ACL injury. At Vitrue we have products that solve problems across the spectrum (Clinical - Vitrue EVVA, Wellbeing - Vitrue VIDA).
Even before Covid-19 and the shift to hybrid working, around 60% of desk workers reported a musculoskeletal issue at any given time. Because of this, employers are legally required to ensure safe working environments and practices for desk workers including workspace assessments and education programs.
The problem is that the existing systems to help employers comply are often paper-based tick-box exercises that provide little insight or impact and that employees don’t like doing!
Vitrue is creating an alternative approach. Our clinical product, EVVA, was developed with world-leading surgeons and professional athletes. Our workspace wellbeing platform, VIDA, uses that same technology to understand the various risk factors that your environment and working behaviours are introducing. For example, using your webcam to automatically perform an assessment of your posture. It then uses gamification and personalised wellbeing programs to help employees make a material difference to their physical, mental and overall well-being. Employers get user-friendly analytics dashboards to help them understand the risks and issues that exist, identify the most impactful wellbeing actions they can take and yes - get fully compliant with employer regulations.
Vitrue’s model is simple. VIDA costs around £1 per user per month in a SaaS model. Over time the business will grow through both selling to more companies of all sizes in the UK and internationally and selling higher-priced bundles to existing users. The company has had exceptional initial success and is currently winning new clients at a high volume. Its clients include household names like Bupa across multiple sectors with extraordinary feedback from customers like “this is the first time I’ve had people across the company banging down my door for access to a wellbeing tool”!
