Who are we?

Pronounced "You and I", UENI provides low-cost, easy solutions to help small businesses get online and grow their business. We are the one-stop-shop for all the tools a small business needs to grow.

We help small and very small enterprises to go online. Unlike typical do-it-yourself website builders like Wix, we are a “do it for me” solution. SMEs fill out a short 5-6 points questionnaire in most cases on their mobile. Through a combination of tech and human curation, we build the business a website based on the SME’s input and complementary record public records.

Today we are signing up 3,500 businesses every day and we operate in the UK, Spain, France, USA, Mexico, India, and Brazil and we are growing our global presence every month. To date, UENI has raised $30m mainly from successful entrepreneurs.
 

Founded in 2014 by Harvard graduates set on building something amazing and worthwhile, UENI is now made up of over 60 people working to shift the balance between independent businesses and larger franchises. We believe that customers should have more choice and transparency, and we’re helping small businesses to provide it. From service providers like dentists and plumbers to photographers or restaurant owners, our mission is to make all businesses visible online. UENI now builds thousands of new sites every day, across 9 countries and 70 cities – and we’re just getting started.

How do we stand out?

1. UENI builds the website for the small business - we are NOT a do it yourself website builder. We ensure the small business gets online and doesn’t get stuck mid-way through the process.

The role: What will you do?
 

• You will work on short term campaigns and long term strategy, always with a focus on growing our base of engaged business customers

• You will create highly-targeted, segmented email marketing

• Where appropriate, you will build campaigns using other channels

• You will drive results in the company using your creativity, thinking outside the box, and coming up with original solutions to everyday problems

Requirements

​

• 5+ proven years of marketing experience in a high-growth startup environment, where you meaningfully contributed to the growth and can speak about the specific things you did
   

• 3+ years of experience with all of the following activities (must-haves):

  • Monetization of a SaaS subscription product (ideally freemium)

  • Highly-personalized, large-volume direct marketing (email and other digital channels)

  • CRO / Landing Page Optimisation

  • Creative campaign generation 
     

• You are a native OR fluent English speaker with creative copywriting skills and exceptional communication skills
   

• You are relentless for results and have high attention to detail
   

• You are hands-on and continuously ideate, execute report and iterate results
   

• You are a team player and take constructive criticism or other inputs well
   

• You’re fluent in marketing automation, but you’re also not afraid to launch a manual process to evaluate before implementing a definitive solution
   

• You have experience with growth hacking tools - you use these tools to make yourself and the team more productive
