Sales Development Representative

Ideally based in London but open to other locations

Our mission is to empower people and companies to use data to do transformative things. We provide technology and services that enables our users to collect the data that they want, use that data to understand each of one of their customer’s complete user journeys, and transform their business.

Snowplow has grown significantly over the last 12 months and we are now looking for our second Sales Development Representative to help us achieve even bigger things!

At Snowplow, we believe in the transformative potential of data. Data drives insight and insight drives opportunity.

Using data effectively is a creative as well as technical exercise: it starts with asking the right questions. Smart People at the heart of every successful data program. Unfortunately at too many companies, Smart People get tied up doing boring data-related tasks: wrestling data out of silo'd systems, ingesting it into warehouses and analytics engines and joining it with other data sets so that useful things can then be done with it.

We build technology that gives Smart People control of their own data. So they can focus on what Smart People are best at: being creative, asking the right question, choosing the analysis technique suitable for answering the question, running the analysis, interpreting the results and acting on those results.

Come join our team and help empower the next generation of Smart Digital analysts, scientists, engineers, marketers, product managers and more differentiate with data.

The Opportunity:

Our sales function is newly formed so, as the second Sales Development Representative, there is enormous scope for a talented individual to progress quickly and have real impact on how this team is formed over the next few years. Starting with qualifying inbound leads, the role will see someone go on to work closely with our marketing function to create innovative outbound sales material.

Within 3-9 months (depending on individual progression, there’s no pressure to be a sales expert within a few weeks), you’ll also learn how to carry out demos of our product and how to guide a customer through the entire sales journey, from initial call to customer.

The environment you’ll be working in:

Our culture is as unique as our customers. Over half of our employees work remotely from all over the world so we have fostered an environment based on trust, communication and transparency. You won’t find micro-management here and everyone takes ownership of their work. Collaboration is at the core of everything we do - we work together and learn from each other.

What you’ll be doing:

Qualifying inbound leads via email/video call/mobile to assess how/if our product could add real value to their business

Handing over qualified business opportunities to an Account Executive

Working closely with our marketing team to generate lists for outbound email activity

Gaining deep knowledge of our product offering with a view to being able to take over some demo calls

Achieving (and hopefully exceeding) monthly and quarterly sales targets

Effectively managing your workload & prioritising tasks

Min 1 year experience in a sales role (preferably within a data analytics/SaaS environment)

Methodical approach to undertaking tasks

A conscientious, caring & team-oriented attitude

Drive, enthusiasm and creativity

Passion for technology and adding value to businesses through data

Fantastic communication skills, both written and verbal

Confident, calm and collected nature

Self-motivated and always looking for opportunities to learn & improve

Growth mindset; not afraid to try new approaches, turning mistakes or failure into a learning opportunity

How to apply...

Full managed

We take care of the entire process for you so we can manage and remove poor experiences like ghosting, no feedback, no updates and so on  🙌

All you have to do is let your Relationship Manager know you’re interested, ask them any questions you have and they will take care of the rest.

Straight to the front

From there, what’s next is super simple  😇

If you like the initial sound of the company/ role. We then act as your “in” with them and set up an initial phone chat with you and the Hiring Manager there.

The chat will be pretty informal and should only last 10-15 minutes - It's a fact find for both of you.

More than prepared

Before the call we will send you EVERYTHING you'll need to know about the company / who they are looking for / format of the call and so on.

You will be fully prepared and know what to expect at every stage 😀
